KISS PRINCIPLE

In the world of outdoor advertising, consistency is like a scorecard that the consumers keep in their heads. People know that advertising is expensive, so the more a company advertises, the more successful it must be. And the more successful it is, the more it means that other people must be choosing it.

Your brand or special event can benefit from this power of positive momentum. Through your initial advertising efforts, people will learn that that you exist. With repeated exposure, they'll learn that you're stable. With even more repeated exposure, they'll assume you're successful— after all, based on your ability to sustain an advertising campaign, shows the public that you’re offering a trusted, successful, and reliable product.

It’s a given that long term sustained advertising is the key to influencing the consumer. The specific design and content of your ads is, of course, of vital importance as well— but what's true of your career, of sports, and of life in general also holds true of advertising: never underestimate the power of simply showing up. Just being in view of your potential audience can mean the difference between success and failure for your marketing project.

Showing up with a large “elevating” double-sided mobile billboard is the best way to get your message seen by a huge audience. With relatively little lead time and tremendous marketing flexibility; our mobile billboards are an affordable media option. To best utilize my company’s mobile billboard advertising, put yourself in the place of the viewer. A majority of this type of media will be viewed from an automobile, so get in your car and drive, but this time look around and see how you view things. We’ve all heard the “rule” about billboards: no more than seven words, right? Keep that in mind as you drive through town. How much will you remember that is contained in the form of a word-driven message? And what if one of those seven magic words is a phone number? Do you have a pad of paper and pen handy to jot it down? It’s not likely that many people will, and the number will be forgotten when the light changes to green.

What you will remember from your encounter with outdoor advertising is your immediate impression: a few clear visual cues that stay in your eye and mind. Whatever you expect the public to carry away from this encounter, it needs to be simple.

Simple does not mean ineffective- quite the opposite, a well designed billboard will encourage the consumer into action. From driving directly to a store sale or remembering a political candidate during Election Day, your mobile billboard message can be a primary motivational source. But that doesn’t have to mean unsophisticated. Less, when carefully thought through and selected for specific impact, really can be more elegant, more refined, and most importantly, more successful. Conversely, insisting upon “getting more for your money” by including more and more information, can actually weaken the impact of your advertising and create a clumsy impression. I personally have argued with many a client that they are over doing the copy. Often I am successful in being able to scale back the message but other times I’m not. My best suggestion is when it comes to mobile billboards “keep it short and simple.”

Lastly, do not hesitate to call us with any design questions. We have been in the outdoor advertising business long enough to be considered an expert resource. We can work with your art directly, modify your design to get maximum impact or create something brand new from scratch. Either way, you’ll end up with a professionally produced advertisement shown on the largest mobile billboards in the country.  800-772-7539  www.Billboards2Go.com

IMAGE IS EVERYTHING!

When image is everything, Billboards-2Go is a mobile billboard company top New York television networks rely on. Billboards-2Go specializes in providing an exemplary mobile billboard service for one day events through multi-month advertising campaigns. This is the reason high profile TV shows like the CBS Rachael Ray Show and the very popular ABC cooking show “The Chew” calls on Billboards-2Go to help them promote their events. Both networks hired Billboards-2Go this past October 2012 to be a part of the actual episodes.

For CBS, Tyra Banks pulled up to the entrance of the Rachael Ray show and hopped out of the billboard truck's passenger side to surprise an audience guest waiting on the sidewalk line to see a beauty makeover show. Little did the unsuspecting guest know, she was the target of the makeover. It was a shock for her to see her “before” photo supersized on the side of the truck, especially with Tyra calling out her name with a megaphone.

For ABC, The Chew show; they used the large sign of the mobile billboard featuring their Chew logo as a backdrop to their outdoor street barbeque episode. In both cases for extra publicity, the mobile billboard was filmed driving around Manhattan before and after the television shoot.

The producers of TV entertainment certainly understand that it is imperative to work with the best mobile billboard company available. US vs THEM

When comparing Us to Them [our competition], we are hands-down the most professional and stylish company offering this type of mobile media. Although our rates are very competitive you may always find a slightly cheaper rate if doing a lot of shopping around. For example, you get our quote first and then have another company try to match it or maybe do a little better. If you’re only looking for the best price, that method works just fine. But what you get with Billboards-2Go you will not find with any other mobile billboard vendor out there.

We are not the fly-by-night single truck operators with sloppy looking trucks who park in their home driveway. We are a totally seasoned professional company with a large fleet of impeccably maintained mobile billboard trucks. We know a lot about truck maintenance because not only do we have a large indoor maintenance garage, truck fabrication shop, graphics and printing shop, we sponsor our own 8 second NHRA Championship dragster. So, we really know how critical it is to maintain mechanical equipment in top-notch condition. Please visit www.BerserkDragster.com for more info on our race car.

Comparing “apples to apples” - all mobile billboards are not created the same. Yes many of them offer the streamlined narrow sign frames. All except Billboards2Go have their signs fasten to the truck chassis. Only Billboards2Go can elevate their large 10’x22’ signs up to 18 feet high, attracting a much larger viewing audience. Our advertising banners are stretched tight-as-a-drum on the frames and are printed with a solid high-resolution output with optional 2D and 3D features available. With about 500 square feet of prime advertising space per unit, your message is guaranteed to get incredible exposure in your most desired target market.

Our business model is refined and streamlined to offer the smoothest running mobile billboard service available in the USA. We strive to make every experience with our company one that is truly rewarding for our clients. We offer the best equipment (with our large elevating billboard trucks), outstanding printing quality with our large format printing machines, fast turn-around, and most importantly… our drivers are knowledgeable about getting the best exposure for our clients’ advertisements. They never hide their trucks when they are on the job. They know that the clients have access to GPS tracking that shows the exact position 24/7. The drivers always search out the best exposure opportunities available in any given market and give 110% to their job.

Lastly, the next time you are looking to hire a mobile billboard company – remember there is a lot more to a campaign than just getting a cheap rate. Quality exposures mean that you will get a better response to your message. Your ad dollars will get a better Return On Investment with Billboards2Go.com saving you money on media and making you more money with a better response to your ad.

MOBILE SMELL-A-VISION

Another innovation from Billboards2Go.com is our entry into the odoriferous realm of mobile billboard advertising. A new ad campaign we are currently implementing for the State Fair in New Jersey features a couple of our very unique mobile billboards.

Every year we strive to do something out of the ordinary for the event, from drivers dressed up as clowns with fluoerescent afro-wigs to giant teddy bears waving out of the passenger side windows. This year ( with the concept coming from the client ) they wanted us to create the world’s biggest cotton candy scratch-and-sniff ad for "New Jersey's Biggest Event."

At first the idea sounded quite exciting and we jumped right in, but after the euphoria faded away we needed to figure out the procedure to implement the effect. That was a little more daunting. After consulting with professional chemists and testing a few supplied concoctions of super sweet smelling cotton candy concentrate (food grade - for safety concerns) we were finally able to achieve the client’s fragrant desires.

The sign’s graphics were designed in collaboration with Mike Guarino of NJ Creative Direction, an advertising and design agency based in Summit, NJ and Billboards2Go graphics and production manager, Russell Arthur. It features the locally ubiquitous State Fair Meadowlands logo on a blue sunburst background adjacent to a very cute young girl holding up a huge cotton candy treat.

After the printed banners are strategically infused with the cotton candy aroma, a pleasant smell may be acquired by an observer by rubbing their fingers on the area of the cotton candy image. Along with the application of the scent being fused to the cotton candy image, the vehicles are equipped with an aroma dispensing apparatus that enhances the overall experience when an observer is in close proximity to the mobile billboard unit.

Billboards2Go has been promoting the State Fair in Meadowlands NJ for several years in a row. The fair’s managing director, Michele Tartaglione has said on numerous occasions that our huge mobile billboards really help attract customers to the fair. An added benefit to this year’s campaign from previous fairs is that we believe Michele is going to sell a heck of a lot more cotton candy!

Please let us know what unique ideas you may want to try for your business. Our creative department is available to answer any questions you may have about how to think outside the box when it comes to mobile billboard advertising. You Get What You Pay For

The old proverb “you get what you pay for” rings very true with a return on investment for a mobile billboard media campaign. Another way to put it is “good work ain’t cheap and cheap work ain’t good.” It’s a time tested theory that when it “sounds too good to be true” it usually is not.

Had enough cliches yet? Just a couple more to follow… Over the past year or so I have been getting some feedback from potential advertisers that have been shopping around for a mobile billboard company to operate a campaign for them. A few of the rate quotes they tell me about seem much too low to be legitimate. Granted, they may be getting an advertising service called “mobile billboards” but there are huge differences in quality among vendors of this media.

The first red flag that should pop up is when you get a quote from a mobile billboard provider that is significantly cheaper compared to other vendors. Remember the “old bate and switch” is a popular dishonest sales tool that has been around forever and is a typical method to get someone to commit to an inferior product.

Often unscrupulous mobile billboard vendors will lure you in with low up front cost and then nickel and dime you all the way to the finish line. What may initially seem to be an attractive rate can be jacked up at invoice time with a lot of added costs. Or even worse, it is a low cost for non-performing media. Non-performing media is when the billboard operator spends more time sleeping in the truck than being on the specified targeted route. From parked in an ally way to not even showing up on the job at all are just a couple of habits a few mobile billboard vendors use to cut corners and improve their bottom line.

It gets even scarier - The “low cost” vendors cut corners in many other ways to save money such as poor maintenance of the vehicles, disconecting the air-conditioning for the driver to save on fuel costs, hiring unqualified drivers, cheap banner printing that’s low in resolution and dull in color, no GPS satellite tracking of billboards, and more. Smaller, dirty and dented mobile billboards are unattractive and make a poor presentation which is a direct reflection on your advertising message.

Furthermore, you can’t afford to use a “cheaper” mobile billboard service because it will most likely cost you much more on the long run. From the possibility of lost sales to a damaged reputation there are countless reasons not to hire the cheapest guy on the block. The lesson to be learned before you get burned is “you get what you pay for” and paying just a few dollars more for your mobile billboard media may be the deference between success and failure of your sales promotion or special event.

That said, Billboards2Go.com may not be the cheapest mobile billboard vendor on the block, but with justified confidence we can say we're your best bet for a reliable high-quality campaign. Not only do we run a good sized fleet of state-of-the-art mobile billboards, we only hire qualified professional drivers, we print our banners in-house with high resolution printers on quality materials, and allow our clients to see in real-time their working mobile billboards through GPS satellite enabled equipment easily over the internet.

Bottom line, we offer very competitive rates for a superior service. That’s why countless national brands have used our media time after time to promote their messages. Especially concerned are higher-end brands like supermarkets, restaurants and automotive dealerships that demand clean looking vehicles. And who can blame them. When it comes to food products, advertising on a sloppy looking mobile billboard could potentially turn off the target audience.

So, the next time you need a quote for mobile billboard media. . . call us last! We may not be the cheapest, but we’ll be the best return for your ad dollar investment, guaranteed! Our rates are net with no hidden costs. You’ll know exactly what you are paying for up front and we promise to not “nickel and dime” you.
